Sparking Creativity: Our 2025 Mid-Year Report

Arts Ignite is excited to share our first-ever Mid-Year Impact Report! As we reach the halfway point of 2025, we’re taking a moment to reflect on some of the stories and milestones that define this year so far.

With an impact that has already reached more than 2,000 young people globally, we’re continuing long-standing partnerships, celebrating inaugural programs, and contributing to groundbreaking research. In classrooms across New York City, the U.S., Uganda, Botswana, South Africa, and Pakistan, Arts Ignite Teaching Artists bring energy, expertise, and joy to every space. The settings and needs may differ, but the creative spark and sense of possibility remain constant.

This year, we’ve seen the arts help newcomer youth feel a sense of belonging in NYC schools, support students through major life changes, and spark creativity and confidence in communities where young people often lack access to consistent, high-quality arts education. Across all of our programs, the arts continue to foster emotional growth, self-expression, and connection.

In every Workshop, Residency, and Arts Camp, we’re reminded of the power of our community. These stories exist because of the incredible partners we work with, the world-class Teaching Artists who bring this work to life, and the supporters who believe that every young person deserves access to high-quality arts education.
