On June 29th, Arts Ignite turned up the volume on joy, rhythm, and purpose at Ignite the Groove—a high-energy summer fundraiser hosted at the stylish, stunning, and unmistakably Brooklyn-cool Brooklyn Bank. With incredible performances, curated brunch bites, and a packed dance floor, the afternoon raised an amazing $14,100 in support of Arts Ignite’s work bringing arts education to young people across New York City and around the world.
From the soulful sound of IET Band to the live set from DJ Vidal that carried us into the evening, Ignite the Groove was more than just an event—it was a full-on celebration of what happens when community comes together to support creativity and connection.
We’re especially grateful to our Board Member Ananie Momplaisir for hosting this unforgettable day. Her warmth, generosity, and leadership made Ignite the Groove not only possible, but powerful.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible vendors and partners who helped bring the experience to life:
- The Brooklyn Bank – for providing a stylish, fun, and unforgettable space that set the perfect tone.
- WSJ Bartending – for keeping the energy high and the drinks flowing with expertly crafted cocktails.
- Bee’s Bakes – for the stunning and delicious desserts that wowed our guests.
- Vania Bien-Aime Baez – for all the creative design.
- BunNan Catering and Events – for delivering a flavorful and elevated brunch spread that perfectly complemented the day.
- Shawn Salley Photography – for the amazing photos below.
Every dollar raised helps fuel Arts Ignite’s mission to ensure that young people—particularly those from historically marginalized communities—have access to transformative, high-quality arts education.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, danced, donated, and celebrated with us. Ignite the Groove reminded us what’s possible when joy meets purpose—and we can’t wait to groove with you again soon.
