Introducing our 2022 Changemaker Award winner, Jibeh Fatty!

The Arts Ignite Changemaker Award provides financial support to a student leader committed to positively impacting their community through the arts. This year’s recipient is Jibeh Fatty!

Jibeh is a proud Muslim immigrant from the Gambia, West Africa who is not afraid to express herself. Currently a senior at New Design High School in NYC, she is a documentary filmmaker, poet, and advocate. Jibeh is interested in women’s rights, including discrimination against black women and how communities of women are treated globally. Fatty is also interested in how fashion can serve as a tool for self-expression. She plans to graduate high school in Spring 2022.
