Creative Activity Kit Program Spotlight

2022 was a major year for Arts Ignite’s Creative Activity Kit program! Thanks to the collaborative efforts of our Teaching Artists, corporate sponsors, community partners, and staff, a total of 1,436 kits were assembled last year for students all across New York City.

Each month, Arts Ignite Teaching Artists create educational arts-based activities that allow students to learn and express themselves. Complete with custom workbooks and art supplies, the kits are built to provide an on-the-go creative space for young people ranging in age from 4 months to 16 years old. Workbooks are inclusive of multiple languages and varied art forms and they reflect  the same goals as every Arts Ignite classroom, highlighting Arts Ignite’s core skills of initiative, courage, community, positive identity, and creative capacity.

With the help of our corporate sponsors, these kits are assembled and prepared bi-monthly to be delivered to our community partners Win, Lutheran Social Services, and Goddard Riverside Community Arts in New York City and to community partners in Waterloo, IA.

The Creative Activity Kit program is projected to grow by 18% this year and provide even more on-the-go arts education to young people around the city. To learn how you can get involved through a sponsorship, visit the contact link below.
